Question about trance or meditation

In any of the castaneda books, does he ever mention or use the word meditation or trance?

I cant help thinking that when don juan talked about dreaming or dreams, perhaps in some aspects he was talking about being in a trance or meditation type state and more importantly how he got himself into that state.

ever seen em? most likely, they're everywhere. and they give the appearance of having great knowledge, even acting with power. but the type of power that makes you give yours up.
